Information We Don’t Collect

Unlike many apps, BrickByBrick is designed with privacy at its core:

  • No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information to our servers
  • No Analytics Tracking: We don’t track your usage patterns, behavior, or app interactions
  • No Third-Party Sharing: Since we don’t collect your data, we have nothing to share with third parties
  • No Account Creation: You don’t need to create an account with us or provide any personal information

How Your Data is Handled

Local Storage

All your project data, including:

  • Project details and descriptions
  • Photos and images
  • Checklists and notes
  • Budget and time tracking information
  • All other app data

…is stored locally on your device using Apple’s secure data storage systems.

CloudKit Synchronization

BrickByBrick uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync your data between your Apple devices that are signed into the same Apple ID. This means:

  • Apple Controls the Data: Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, controlled entirely by Apple
  • End-to-End Encryption: Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using Apple’s security standards
  • Your Apple ID Only: Only devices signed into your Apple ID can access your synced data
  • Apple’s Privacy Policy Applies: Data synchronization is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not ours

Data Encryption

The app uses SwiftData with CloudKit encryption attributes to ensure your sensitive information is encrypted, including:

  • Project creation and completion dates
  • Personal notes and observations
  • Image data and photos

What This Means for You

Complete Data Control

  • You own your data: All information belongs to you and stays in your control
  • Delete anytime: Remove the app and your data is gone from your device
  • iCloud management: Manage your synced data through your iCloud settings

No Data Breaches Risk

  • Since we don’t store your data on our servers, there’s no risk of us being hacked or your data being compromised through our systems
  • Your data security depends on your device security and Apple’s iCloud security

No Tracking or Profiling

  • We don’t build profiles about you
  • We don’t track your projects or usage patterns
  • We don’t serve targeted advertisements (we don’t serve ads at all)

Third-Party Services

Children’s Privacy

BrickByBrick does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we don’t collect any personal information at all, the app is safe for users of all ages, subject to parental discretion.

International Users

Since your data never leaves your devices or personal iCloud account, there are no international data transfer concerns with our app.
