Home Scout is designed with privacy in mind. The app processes the following information locally on your device:

• Inventory Items: Item names, categories, brands, models, serial numbers, and descriptions • Photos: Pictures of your inventory items stored locally on your device • Purchase Information: Purchase dates, prices (in your local currency), and warranty details • Location Data: House names, room names, and specific locations (stored locally only) • Maintenance Records: Maintenance schedules and completion dates

IMPORTANT: We do NOT collect, transmit, or share any of your personal data with third parties. All data remains on your device and Apple’s secure CloudKit.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for app functionality:

• Inventory Management: Display and organize your personal inventory items • Photo Management: Store and display photos of your items locally on your device • Warranty Tracking: Calculate warranty expiration dates and send local notifications • Maintenance Scheduling: Track maintenance tasks and send local reminders • Currency Display: Format prices according to your device’s regional settings • CloudKit Sync: If enabled, sync your data privately through Apple’s CloudKit

NO THIRD-PARTY DATA SHARING: We absolutely do not collect, analyze, or share your data with any third parties. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Your inventory data never leaves the Apple ecosystem.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Your data is primarily stored locally on your device • CloudKit Sync: When enabled, data is synced through Apple’s secure CloudKit service • Encryption: All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption • No Third-Party Access: We do not share your inventory data with any third parties • Apple’s Privacy: CloudKit data is subject to Apple’s privacy policy

Your photos and personal information never leave the Apple ecosystem.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View all data stored in the app • Deletion: Delete individual items or all data at any time

All data deletion is permanent and cannot be recovered.

Apple Services Integration

Home Scout integrates exclusively with Apple’s first-party services:

• CloudKit: Data synchronization across your Apple devices • StoreKit: In-app purchase system for premium features • UserNotifications: Local notifications for warranty and maintenance reminders • PhotosPicker: Secure photo selection from your device

NO THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS: We do not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data collection services. Your data never leaves Apple’s secure ecosystem.

Children’s Privacy

Home Scout does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for household inventory management and is intended for use by adults or with adult supervision.
